Today Taylor and I had a lunch appointment at the Pentagon. Neither of us had been there before so we were excited to try out the new hot spot for lunch haha… seriously though we were excited to meet in detail of few of the admirals and such who had come to Taylor’s Bronze Medal with Valor last week.
Before we could go to the Pentagon for a short tour and lunch, we had a few appointments to check off the list. One appointment was at the Warrior Clinic. Today Taylor and his doctor decided to continue to go down on his medication. The fewer pills the better!
Once we finished with our appointments we headed to the Pentagon. It really is an amazing building where you can feel the power. Lunch was, once again, amazing. We had great conversation with another guest and a few Pentagon employees. Our stay at the Pentagon was short but sweet. Taylor and I really enjoyed ourselves before we headed back to apartment to get done emails, bills, thank you’s, and a bunch of other work we have been putting off. Today was a productive but low key day.
I am excited to present a video from the welcome home parade that our VERY good friend Ben Hagarty put together. Also check out the post from yesterday. I have uploaded a clip from the interview Taylor was a part of in order to help physicians overseas that help our warriors day in and day out.
Ben you’re the best!
I just have to say that you guys are amazing! I have a close friend who works with wounded warriors in the US Army. She’s told me stories about what she does, but I have to say that I’ve never heard of a story like yours. You are in my prayers and may God continue to bless you and give you the strength to finish your recovery.
As the son of a naval veteran, I salute you!
I agree with June, the tears got in the way of seeing an amazing parade. Has Ben ever thought of going into event planning? He could teach Macy’s how to have a larger Thanksgiving Day Parade. Unbelievable turnout from airport to home. Job well done Ben, it was a true Hero’s Welcome Home.
WOW, but one problem, I had trouble watching it through the tears. Great job!
This one choked me up. What a cool parade. So sad I couldn’t have made it back for it. Hopefully see you guys soon. Keep working.
